FinerDocs (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service at finerdocs.com.

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (or OAuth credentials if you sign in with Google). This information is necessary to provide and secure your account.

Documents

We store the PDF files you upload to provide the hosting and sharing Service. Documents are stored securely and are only accessible via the unique links you share or through your dashboard.

Usage Data

We collect analytics data about document views, including timestamps, referrer URLs, and whether a view resulted in a download. This data is used to provide the analytics features available on paid plans.

AI Chat Data

If you use the AI Chat feature, your questions and the AI responses are processed in real time to provide answers. We track daily usage counts to enforce plan limits but do not permanently store chat conversations.

Payment Information

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details. Stripe's privacy policy governs the handling of your payment information.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
  • To manage your account and subscription.
  • To provide document analytics and AI chat features.
  • To communicate with you about your account or the Service.
  • To detect, prevent, and address technical issues or abuse.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

  • Service providers: Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payments), and AI model providers (document chat) — only as necessary to operate the Service.
  • Legal requirements: When required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
  • Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Documents on the Free plan are automatically deleted after expiration. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data and documents within 30 days, except where we are required to retain data for legal purposes.

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, secure authentication, and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
